1. Sorcerer is one of Miles Davis' major releases in a career full of major releases. The second great quintet are absolutely on fire in this May recording, with what would nowadays be called a bonus track from ending the original track line-up - Nothing like you featuring the vocal stylings of Bob Dorough/5(99).

8. Dec 14,  · While Davis’ name remains front and center on Sorcerer, the album is often regarded as the least Davis-centric recording of his eclectic career. In fact, Davis is not credited as composer for even one single track on Sorcerer. He doesn’t even play on the album’s second track “Pee Wee.”.
